Our Vision for SEND at Bishop Hooper School

At Bishop Hooper School, we pride ourselves in our inclusive ethos. All children and adults are welcomed into our school family as God's children. Our Christian Vision helps us to develop each individual educationally, spiritually and morally by living and learning through Christian values so that they achieve their very best, inspired by God's love and flourish on their journey to the fullness of life.

We work very closely with the SEND team at the Local Authority to ensure that each child's full potential is reached during their time at Bishop Hooper. Our dedicated staff team, leaders and SENDCO work hard to ensure that staffing allocations are well-matched to each individual child. Training needs are regularly addressed and updated (training records can be viewed in the 'Safeguarding' area of our website) and are set according to the needs of individual children, Graduated Support Plan and Education, Health and Care Plan requirements.

All children with SEND needs are welcomed into our school to be treated with respect and love as we enable them to reach their potential.
